In June, Pro Mujer completed its twelfth free health event in Nicaragua, providing care to 197 women and 17 men. These events included 117 medical consultations, 20 Pap smears, 103 screenings, 37 ultrasounds, 97 rapid tests, 83 blood glucose tests, and 224 optical exams, among other health services, totaling 866.
In partnership with the Nicaraguan Social Security Institute, three medical laboratories, a gynecologist, and an optician offered 108 services. 33 free and 4 paid blood tests, 20 vision exams, 23 breast ultrasounds, 2 abdominal ultrasounds, 4 pelvic ultrasounds, and 26 flu vaccines were administered.
The activity was intended for female clients of Vida Sana Plus, a health plan offered by Pro Mujer to women who have a loan with the organization and that offers them the possibility to access, at no cost, benefits such as Telemedicine, unlimited general medical consultations, discounts with Pro Mujer’s network of partners, breast ultrasounds, PAP smears, and screenings, among other services.
This year, Pro Mujer expects to host 19 free health events in alliance with partners, actions that are part of the initiatives with which Pro Mujer seeks to guarantee a dignified and healthy life for the women of Nicaragua, to help them reach their full potential.
