Pro Mujer, a social enterprise that has been working to advance gender equality in Latin America for more than 35 years, is proud to announce that, starting January 2025, Vanessa Dager will assume the role of Chair of the Board of Directors. She succeeds Ana Demel, Adjunct Professor of Law at New York University School of Law and lawyer with over 30 years of experience who has held the position since 2021.

Vanessa Dager, who previously served as Vice Chair of Pro Mujer’s Board of Directors, brings an outstanding track record that will help Pro Mujer continue advocating for a more just and inclusive region and expanding its reach to underserved women across Latin America
Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Advisory for the Americas at BNP Paribas, Vanessa has more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, strategic mergers, and acquisitions, advising companies across various industries. Prior to her current role, she held leadership positions at Wells Fargo, Credit Suisse, and Citigroup Global Markets, where she led teams focused on M&A in the U.S. and Latin America. Vanessa holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
