Pro Mujer México Announces New Health Partnerships with Reina Madre and Sin Reglas

According to data published by INEGI, more than 15 million women in Mexico do not have access to health care services. This makes it very difficult to ensure early detection and treatment of underlying health problems, such as breast cancer, sexually transmitted infections, or conditions related to menopause.

Pro Mujer recognizes that collaborating with leading organizations in the field is necessary to transform the healthcare landscape in the country. As part of our commitment to women’s health, we established two new partnerships to expand access to health care services with clinic network Reina Madre and the digital community Sin Reglas.

Reina Madre offers women’s health care in Hidalgo, Puebla, State of Mexico, and Mexico City. In 2022 alone, Reina Madre clinics offered more than 200,000 specialized consultations, including 53,000 gynecology appointments, 39,000 colposcopies and Pap smears, and 21,000 specialized ultrasounds.

Thanks to this new partnership, Pro Mujer and Reina Madre will expand the services offered in Central Mexico. Reina Madre will refer patients to Pro Mujer’s specialized teams for early detection and treatment of chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia

Pro Mujer will refer patients to Reina Madre for obstetric care, treatment and follow-up of gynecologic cancers, and specialized treatment for sexually transmitted infections.

Both organizations will refer patients with abnormal Pap smears for additional free and specialized studies and treatments, including colposcopies, cervical biopsies, and conization or fulguration of precancerous lesions.

Pro Mujer will work with the online community Sin Reglas to significantly expand the information available to Mexican women nationwide regarding the menopause transition

Tools offered to users include a “Meno-test” to determine each user’s stage in the menopause transition, a Menopause Guide, and master classes open to the community.

The partnership will also seek to enhance joint research efforts on issues concerning women’s health and facilitate the flow of information.

We’re proud to add these partnerships to strengthen our commitment to expanding women’s access to health care in Mexico.
