Mexico: 1,200 Entrepreneurs Ready to Play in the World Cup Economy
In Mexico, the program will benefit 1,200 women entrepreneurs in Mexico City and Guadalajara, combining digital training, AI-powered support, seed capital, and access to digital payment tools.
Through Emprende Pro Mujer, participants will access virtual training cycles focused on four key areas:
- Preparing their businesses to serve international customers
- Leveraging World Cup-related content on social media
- Developing creative sales strategies aligned with the event
- Digital payment methods and financial readiness
During the World Cup, participants will also receive real-time support through NOVA, Pro Mujer’s virtual assistant via WhatsApp, providing practical guidance and immediate responses to support business decision-making.
As part of the economic strengthening component, 100 businesses will receive seed capital from a total fund of USD 70,000, and 1,000 women will gain access to digital payment terminals and solutions to integrate into formal financial ecosystems.
Access to payment terminals will be provided through a shared subsidy model, in which the entrepreneur’s contribution will be reimbursed as cashback to her account, incentivizing active use of digital payments while significantly reducing the final cost.
Beyond facilitating access to technology, the program also includes targeted training on activating and strategically using digital payment solutions.
This initiative not only seeks to boost sales during the World Cup, but also to establish lasting capabilities for the sustainable growth of women-led businesses, strengthening their economic resilience and participation in the digital economy.
Bolivia: 300 Entrepreneurs and a Sustainable Financial Inclusion Model
In Bolivia, Pro Mujer and Visa are implementing a 12-month economic strengthening program for 300 women entrepreneurs, combining digital training, access to credit, technical support, and the creation of a sustainable revolving fund.
The program is structured around four key components:
1) Digital and Business Training
At least 85% of participants will complete one or more modules of the Emprendedora Pathway under Emprende Pro Mujer, which spans five stages:
- I Design My Business
- I Launch My Business
- I Improve My Business
- I Strengthen My Business
- I Expand My Business
To address persistent digital gaps, local interns will provide in-person reinforcement sessions to facilitate use of the Pro Mujer App and the application of digital tools within their businesses.
2) Gender-Responsive Digital Credit
Thirty-five women with active businesses will access the Mujer Sin Límite loan product, which removes longstanding structural barriers: no guarantors, no collateral, and no spousal signature required.
The process is 100% digital — from application to disbursement — through the Pro Mujer App, with personalized follow-up via WhatsApp and phone calls.
3) Technical Support and Entrepreneurs Network
Participants will receive financial and community-based support, alongside the strengthening of an Entrepreneurs Network that promotes leadership, collaboration, and access to fairs and commercial spaces.
The model includes individualized follow-up and automated reminders to strengthen business management and reduce delinquency risk.
4) Sustainable Revolving Fund
A governance structure, reinvestment guidelines, and digital monitoring systems will be designed and implemented for a revolving fund that will reinvest recovered capital to expand impact over time.
To maximize territorial reach, implementation will take place in partnership with community organizations in El Alto, strengthening local trust and prioritizing women with the greatest need and growth potential.
Through this partnership, Pro Mujer and Visa are committed to ensuring that the economic momentum generated by the 2026 World Cup is not a temporary opportunity, but a turning point for thousands of women to build more resilient, digitalized, and competitive businesses.
Because when the world watches, their businesses can play — and win.
