Pro Mujer Joins EU-LAC Women’s International Network to Advance Gender Equality on Both Sides of the Atlantic

Pro Mujer is proud to announce our incorporation into the EU-LAC Women’s International Network, a platform that connects organizations and leaders from Latin America, the Caribbean, and the European Union to promote shared feminism and advance gender equality on both sides of the Atlantic.

Created in 2021 by a group of women committed to gender equality, the EU-LAC Network focuses its work on three strategic areas: climate action, care economies, and political participation. With its membership in the Network, Pro Mujer brings more than 35 years of experience supporting women’s economic, social, and political leadership in Latin America.

The EU-LAC Network focuses on three strategic areas: climate action, care societies, and political participation. The mission of the EU-LAC Network is to:

  • Connect women, organizations, and institutions from Latin American and Caribbean countries and the European Union to strengthen their work and collectively promote transformations for gender equality.
  • Promote a multi-level, diverse, and intergenerational dialogue on common interests that seek to advance women’s leadership and more egalitarian and inclusive societies.
  • Promote the voices and demands of women and feminist movements in bi-regional and multilateral decision-making spaces.

This partnership represents a key opportunity to amplify the voices of Latin American women, share experiences, and work side by side with European organizations and institutions in the search for shared solutions to common challenges.

“At Pro Mujer, we believe that gender equality is not only an objective, but also an essential condition for sustainable development. Being part of this network strengthens our commitment to gender equality and opens a new chapter of international collaboration that will benefit women,” said Carmen Correa, CEO of Pro Mujer.
