Pro Mujer and Nacional Monte de Piedad: A Partnership Advancing the Economic and Digital Autonomy of Women Entrepreneurs in Mexico

During 2024 and 2025, the partnership between Pro Mujer Mexico and Nacional Monte de Piedad consolidated an innovative model that brings together digital education, business strengthening, close accompaniment, and a gender lens to boost the economic development of women entrepreneurs across different regions of the country.

The program “Mujeres Digitales: Impulso Emprendedor y Liderazgo” was designed to strengthen the business, digital, and leadership capacities of women who use Pro Mujer’s financial services, promoting their economic autonomy and access to high-quality training.

Thanks to this alliance, more than 300 people were reached, 92% of them women. Among them, 200 women entrepreneurs successfully completed their training process through our educational platform Emprende Pro Mujer, achieving a 64% completion rate—well above the average for traditional digital programs (10–18%).

The results, made possible through the close support of credit advisors, reveal significant improvements:

  • 80% of participants strengthened their soft skills and leadership abilities.
  • 44% improved their financial skills and their ability to manage costs, budgets, and financing sources.
  • 90% reported improved savings habits after completing the program.
  • 74% believe their sales will increase as a result of the knowledge gained.

This growth reflects not only the acquisition of technical skills but also increased confidence, more informed decision-making, and a stronger business vision.

The collaboration between Pro Mujer and Nacional Monte de Piedad demonstrates the value of combining institutional capacities to promote women’s economic empowerment through a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable approach.

Throughout this initiative, women entrepreneurs not only developed new business and digital skills—they also strengthened their confidence, support networks, and growth outlook.

This alliance stands as a replicable model in Mexico and across the region for advancing economic autonomy, digital inclusion, and equal opportunities for women.
