Pro Mujer, a social enterprise with more than 35 years of experience advancing gender equality in Latin America, and inDrive, a global mobility platform, announced a partnership to boost the economic autonomy of Mexican entrepreneurs through their “Travel with a Cause” campaign.
In Mexico, 15.5% of women are early-stage entrepreneurs. However, only 2.9% manage to grow their businesses, compared to 3.8% of men. This gap reflects the need to generate solutions to support women beyond the initial stage of their businesses and allow them to grow sustainably.
In an effort to address this issue, inDrive will allocate 10% of the commission from each trip taken in Mexico to support women-led projects. Thanks to this initiative, more than 1,000 women entrepreneurs will have free access to Emprende Pro Mujer, an educational digital platform designed to support women at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey.
Since 2021, Emprende Pro Mujer has changed the lives of more than 250,000 women in 23 countries, providing them with practical tools, mentoring, and specialized content to strengthen their businesses. Now, thanks to the collaboration with inDrive, more Mexican women entrepreneurs will be able to access concrete opportunities to grow their businesses and build economic autonomy.
The partnership will include three phases implemented throughout 2025. The first will focus on providing women with basic information and knowledge on finance. The second phase will offer tools to help them grow their businesses and provide access to a network of mentors. Finally, the third phase will focus on scaling, with mentoring aimed at building long-term business sustainability.
“This partnership reflects the kind of collaborations that are necessary to make real impact, bringing together our experience working with women entrepreneurs in Latin America and combining it with inDrive’s committment to social responsibility. Together, we can connect more women with the resources they need to grow, launch their own businesses, and transform their communities,” said Carmen Correa, CEO of Pro Mujer.
“With the ‘Travel with a Cause’ campaign, each journey supports a greater goal: building a future with more opportunities for all,”added Mark Loughran, President of inDrive. “Our goal is for riders to feel that they are also playing an active role in supporting women entrepreneurs who are building their own businesses. We know that every ride can make a difference.”
This collaboration seeks to transform the everyday action of getting from one place to another into a concrete tool for social impact.
