Pro Mujer and UNFPA Strengthen Commitment to Women’s Health and Rights

Pro Mujer and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) signed a strategic agreement, joining forces to promote the health, rights, and autonomy of underserved women, adolescents, and young people in Mexico.

The collaboration will focus on developing joint strategies focused on sexual and reproductive health, economic empowerment, and in-person and digital capacity building

The collaboration will also explore opportunities to mobilize resources to enhance joint technical assistance projects, especially in underserved populations.

The two organizations will also exchange evidence-based information on menstrual health and sexual and reproductive rights, as well as collaborate on advocacy, communications, and public awareness initiatives.

Signed by Alanna Armitage, UNFPA Regional Director, and Carmen Correa, CEO of Pro Mujer, this strategic partnership will bring an intersectoral and inclusive perspective to achieve significant and lasting positive change in both gender equality and women’s well-being.

Cooperation and collaboration are essential to closing structural gender gaps and ensuring that more women can make informed decisions about their bodies, their health, and their future.
