For the first time, the GLI Forum Latam featured cultural programming as a core part of its agenda, recognizing the outsized influence that art and culture have on social, political, and economic change. The GLI Forum’s cultural programming sought to highlight and celebrate the work of Mexican artists.
In collaboration with Cultura Colectiva—a digital media platform focused on Latin American culture and creativity—we curated an agenda featuring art exhibits, live performances, and a creative marketplace, connecting creators with the GLI ecosystem. In addition to highlighting women creators in creative industries, this initiative sought to recognize the economic value of their work and create opportunities for networking, business, and potential investment.
Artists, creators, and cultural entrepreneurs from different disciplines responded to our open call for proposals. A total of 23 artists were selected to participate in a diverse cultural agenda that balanced traditional and contemporary, live and fine arts, as well as the intimate and the collective.
During the three days of the GLI Forum, the halls, gardens, and auditoriums of Hacienda de Los Morales were filled with art. More than 40 works were shown in an open gallery, 15 live performances brought music, poetry, dance, and theater to the venue, and 10 stands offered attendees local products, services, and experiences. In recognition of their participation, each artist received a scholarship to access the Emprende Pro Mujer platform.

The main programming of the GLI Forum also featured a discussion session titled “More Creators, Fewer Muses: The Role of Women in the Arts and Cultural Industries.” The session explored the role of women in the orange economy, focusing on the development and maintenance of the creative and cultural industries. Moderated by Lisa Moncada, Coordinator of #Red_esCultura, the discussion session featured Berenice Esquivel, Senior Manager, Production and Creative at Disney Character Voices LATAM; Nelly Vieyra, CEO of Tribu-Cultura Colectiva; and Grecia Pérez, Director of Ellas Artes.
This new artistic programming within the GLI Forum Latam highlighted the importance of recognizing the economic value generated by women in the creative industries and the broader societal impact they create.
