Since its founding, Pro Mujer has borne witness to the transformative power of women entrepreneurs in Latin America, not just as economic contributors but as agents of change capable of creating more resilient and inclusive communities. At the GLI Forum Latam 2025, the voices, talent, and impact of women entrepreneurs took center stage.
The sixth edition of the GLI Forum Latam didn’t just share their stories; it also created spaces for women entrepreneurs to take the lead, share lessons learned, network, and promote their businesses.
In parallel to the GLI Forum, we hosted a summit for women entrepreneurs in partnership with the UPS Foundation, which brought together more than 180 participants from all over Mexico to share their experiences and learn skills to build and scale their businesses.
The entrepreneurs participated in a full day of activities designed to inspire, connect, and help them plan for the future. Participants had the opportunity to learn from entrepreneurs who had successfully exported their products, and join an immersive workshop on how to identify new markets and negotiate in different cultural contexts.
“I want to thank Pro Mujer because it’s just been like a domino effect since the GLI Forum,” said Mireille León, summit participant and founder of Eco.duh Beauty. “The event planted many seeds that are already flourishing.”
The GLI Forum also featured a space where nine women entrepreneurs were invited to sell their products and connect with their peers. The participating entrepreneurs were all graduates of Emprende Pro Mujer, the digital educational platform that empowers women entrepreneurs throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
Participants had the opportunity to showcase their products to a diverse regional audience while sharing their stories, expanding their networks, and promoting their businesses to potential partners, customers, and investors. In total, the entrepreneurs had sales totaling more than US$7,000, and the event offered a valuable opportunity to boost their revenue and connect with new markets.
But the impact of their participation went far beyond just sales. The participating women entrepreneurs highlighted five key benefits of their participation:
- Support networks and networking with other women
- Support from the Pro Mujer team
- Personal development
- Brand visibility
- Growth opportunities
For Bibiana Rodríguez, owner of MB Taller Creativo, this space at the GLI Forum was a turning point in her journey as an entrepreneur: “The GLI Forum was proof that I can achieve my goals, it showed me a sea of possibilities. I’m very grateful for all the support and opportunities I received from Emprende Pro Mujer.”
