Stock transfers take a bit of time, so start soon if you wish to qualify by the end of the year. We must be notified by 4pm EST on Friday, December 26, in order to provide you with instructions in time to affect the transfer by the close of trading on December 31.
Please be sure to notify Pro Mujer of your gift of stock so we can identify your gift and rapidly send you a receipt for tax purposes. Please note that gifts of stock which cannot be directly attributed to an individual will be returned. Prior to directing your bank to send a gift, please confirm with us the current transfer instructions. Do not follow out-of-date instructions from previous years.
If you are 70 ½ or older, you are required to take a distribution from your IRA. Did you know you can give from your required distribution to Pro Mujer and forego income tax on the distribution? You must instruct your retirement company to give from your account directly to Pro Mujer to qualify. Gifts up to $100,000 are permissible. Please contact email@example.com or +1 (646) 626 7008 to start the process today.
