To build the skill set of a female entrepreneur is to build entire communities. With more than 34 years investing in the skill development of Latin American female entrepreneurs, every day at Pro Mujer we witness the catalytic power of female entrepreneurs to transform their realities and become change agents.
In 2023 alone, we impacted over 208,500 women in Latin America through continuous training opportunities and skills development. We achieved this thanks to the support of strategic partners such as the UPS Foundation, with whom we trained more than 560 women in central Mexico and Guatemala in 2023. In 2024, within the framework of this powerful partnership, we are expanding our reach to the north of Argentina and continuing to support female entrepreneurs in central Mexico.
Through the hybrid model of our program Emprende Pro Mujer, which combines virtual and in-person sessions facilitated by female experts in the field, we encourage the full participation of women with limited connectivity and digital skills.
Additionally, thanks to the commitment of the UPS Foundation, we conduct group mentorships so that participants may connect with female logistics experts, ask questions, and implement innovative packaging and shipping strategies in their businesses. To date, 3 of 7 sessions have been held, with an average of 129 female entrepreneurs actively participating in each session.
Apart from group mentorship, an individual mentorship program has been implemented in which UPS volunteer collaborators provide personalized guidance to the female entrepreneurs. These personalized sessions allow female mentors to share their specific experience and knowledge, offering practical advice and solutions to particular concerns. Throughout the year, 40 individual mentorship sessions will be held, strengthening the capacity of female entrepreneurs to make informed and strategic decisions in their businesses.

Thanks to their commitment and dedication, we are empowering women to become change agents, improving their livelihoods and fostering more prosperous communities.
