As Chief Talent Officer, Shon leads Pro Mujer’s global Human Resources team, which is focused on recruiting new talent; training, developing and retaining current employees; and developing policies and well-being programs to advance organizational effectiveness and impact. Additionally, he and his team are key members of the organization’s internal Cultural Transformation initiative.
Shon joins Pro Mujer from Friendship Bridge, where he was Director of Human Resources, Education and Social Performance Management based in Guatemala. Friendship Bridge is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering impoverished women to create a better future for themselves, their children and communities through microfinance and education. Previously, Shon worked as Director of Training and a Team Supervisor at Credit Where Credit is Due in New York City. He began his career as a Peace Corps volunteer and later as a Technical Trainer in Paraguay.
Shon holds an M.S. degree in Non-profit Management from The New School (New York) and a B.S. from Miami University (Ohio). He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his family.
