Gloria has been with Pro Mujer in Nicaragua since its establishment in 1996. Joining initially as a loan officer, she has since held positions leading to her current leadership of Pro Mujer Nicaragua. Gloria has built a strong team and together they have adapted Pro Mujer’s methodology for the social and political context in Nicaragua. She and her team have developed an effective organizational structure that facilitates the provision of financial, health and capacity-building services to dispersed populations in remote rural communities.
Gloria serves on the Board of ASOMIF, the leading Nicaraguan association for the microfinance sector. She serves as Pro Mujer’s spokesperson in Nicaragua, appearing in various media, including CNN. Gloria holds a degree in Agriculture and a master’s degree in Microfinance from the University of Managua.
