Patricia Yapura

Patricia Yapura is a gifted seamstress who lost her sewing workshop and her home after her daughter’s illness prevented her from working for a month.

After receiving a small loan from Pro Mujer, she was inspired to create a custom harness for a disabled child who was unable to walk; his parents had been unable to afford the carrier they needed. Her invention won the national micro-entrepreneurship and innovation competition Propulsar in Argentina.

Patricia plans to grow her workshop and create additional products that will improve the lives of children with disabilities.
