Thanks to the partnership between Pro Mujer and Mayma, more than 200 women were able to access expert specialized content on social entrepreneurship. The collaboration is focused on strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Latin America through the Emprende Pro Mujer La Academia program, which provides practical tools and strategic support to empower women entrepreneurs.
For more than 35 years, Pro Mujer has worked to advance gender equality in Latin America. Now, Pro Mujer is joining forces with Mayma, an organization with 17 years of experience training, connecting and sharing the stories of women entrepreneurs in the region, to support sustainable and high-impact businesses.
As part of the La Academia program, Mayma offers access to exclusive content focused on:
- Starting a social enterprise
- The Sustainable Development Goals
- Positive and negative business impacts
- The circular economy and recycling
- Self-care as a core component of entrepreneurial success
During four live, online sessions, participating entrepreneurs explored the concept of impact, including social, environmental, and economic elements of their businesses. Each session was led by an expert facilitator and featured audiovisual resources, practical exercises, and tools for implementing a concrete action plan.
Since its launch in 2021, Emprende Pro Mujer, a digital entrepreneurial training platform, has impacted the lives of more than 160,000 women in 23 countries in Latin America. Its success is the result of a commitment to meeting the needs of women entrepreneurs, offering accessible, up-to-date, and gender-sensitive content.
With the support of leading organizations such as Mercado Pago, TikTok, and Microsoft, La Academia seeks to continue to expand Emprende Pro Mujer’s impact, providing entrepreneurs with specific knowledge and strategies. This partnership with Mayma reinforces Pro Mujer’s commitment to women’s inclusion and development, ensuring that more women entrepreneurs have access to opportunities to transform their businesses and their communities.
Through this collaboration, Pro Mujer and Mayma continue to pave the way for more women to achieve economic autonomy, overcome structural barriers, and actively contribute to building a prosperous future.
