TOD@S POR ELLAS, A BREAST CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN IN LATIN AMERICA

As part of our new health platform, Ami Cuidado, Pro Mujer has joined forces with different organizations in Latin America to launch the Tod@s por ellas campaign. With this initiative, we reinforce our commitment to advance health care for women in the region while contributing to the World Health Organization’s objective to: “raise awareness and ensure more women have access to preventive and treatment care.”

Tod@s por ellas provides access to free virtual workshops about breast cancer preventive and treatment care, and access to mammography tests for women in jails in Mexico.

The virtual workshops, led by medical professionals, are taking place every Thursday in our Facebook account @promujersalud. People will learn about preventive care including nutrition habits, the importance of working out, breast self-examination, how to dismantle myths around breast cancer and more to decrease the probability of developing breast cancer. People that have battled breast cancer will also share their testimonies and experiences to inspire others who might be going through the same.

Tod@s por ellas will also provide free mammography tests to women who are part of La Cana, a social initiative that provides job opportunities to women in jails.

Our campaign represents Pro Mujer’s mission to ensure women can access quality health care and live healthy lives creating a multiplier effect in their families and communities.
