Title: Intern, Relationship Management Individual Donors

Pro Mujer is seeking an intern to work with the Alliances Team on various key projects. The intern will support the team and work on a wide range of activities such as database maintenance, research, writing, administrative and general support to build the organization’s individual donor portfolio. The intern will have direct exposure to the entire team, e.g. Chief Alliance Officer and work directly with the Director, Relationship Management. In return, Pro Mujer will provide the intern the opportunity to gain excellent entry-level experience in the field of non-profit management, philanthropy, international development, and women’s issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Director, Relationship management to create an inclusive pipeline of potential individual donors, and conduct research Conduct research on prospective individual donors using database systems like Iwave;
  • Create an internal global event calendar with all Pro Mujer events, as well as events external events where Pro Mujer can participate for potential relationship building;
  • Help with the organizing of events and logistics in the local office;
  • Accurately produce, review, and edit, acknowledgment letters;
  • Work with other members of the team, interns, volunteers to clean-up Pro Mujer’s donor database (Salesforce), help with mass mailings, and assist in organizing special donor events and trips;
  • Assist in writing and developing creative content for mass mailings and special donor, board and councilmember events;
  • Assist the Alliances staff in entering, maintaining, strengthening, and collating alliances, current donors and prospective donor’s data into the database (Salesforce);
  • Maintain and research new and innovative ways to attract more millennial and targeted online campaigns to strengthen individual donation revenue;
  • Maintain good record keeping and filing to ensure a smooth transition following internship;

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate student interested in International Development, Product Development, Fundraising, Non-Profit Management, Digital Marketing or a related field;
  • Strong writing/editing skills; proficient document preparation, e.g. drafting and preparing documents, reports, PowerPoint presentations, letters, briefs, and informational packets;
  • Strong research, subject matter, and critical thinking skills; familiarity with using data to research and cultivate different donor demographics;
  • Familiarity with event planning and/or an interest in learning;
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM database;
  • Ability to work interdependently and independently; possess interpersonal skills; is creative, optimistic, and has a can-do spirit;
  • Experience working in an office environment;
  • Ready to learn, take guidance, support project development, and administration, and manage deadlines;
  • A passion to empower women;
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, both written and verbal;

Terms and Conditions:

  • This is an unpaid internship opportunity;
  • School credit can be arranged with the candidate’s educational institution to support the fulfillment of academic credit and/or requirements;
  • A minimum of 20 hours per week is required, and must be committed to the full semester (or term);
  • Pro Mujer also offers the opportunity to arrange a year-round internship, if interested.
