PERU

History

Pro Mujer in Peru began operations in 1999 in Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca by building upon the knowledge and lessons learned in Bolivia and Nicaragua. Pro Mujer began offering clients credit in April of 2000 and achieved self-sustainability by the end of 2002. Since then Pro Mujer in Peru has continued to grow and serve and empower poor women throughout the country.
